The z3 has probably hit the bottom of its depreciation curve though and nicer examples are getting more expensive in recent years. The nicest z3 (m-coupe with the s54 engine) is going for upwards of $50k in nice condition/low miles. You’re not going to pay nearly that much for a soft top with a smaller engine though.
